The present paper is interested in evidence regarding\n biblical learning. It examines the 135 (7th century) glosses in the Old\n Latin text <strong><em>Usserianus Primus<\/em><\/strong><em>;\u2013<\/em> <strong>Apponius\u2019<\/strong> commentry on the <em>Canticle<\/em> and relation with <strong>Columbanus <\/strong>(6<sup>th<\/sup> cent.) and <strong>abbreviation<\/strong> of this in Ireland (7<sup>th<\/sup> cent.); the biblical (Vulgate) text and its critical signs in <em>the <strong>Cathach<\/strong> <\/em>and their implications, concluding that behind our present <em>Cathach 7th-cent. <\/em>text\n there stood a Double Psalter (as currently in Rouen MS. Bibl.mun. 24) \nof the sixth century possibly of Irish origin. It finds that the <strong><em>Tituli<\/em><\/strong> of the <em>Cathach <\/em>are of Irish origin, not imported, and the frequently used <strong><em>Legendus ad<\/em><\/strong> (\u201cto be read at\u201d) is a forerunner of the later Irish ubiquitous <em>haeret, coniungitur ad<\/em> of exegetical texts. The 28 <strong>Irish Gospel texts<\/strong> (3 of seventh century. Old Latin, Vulgate, Mixed Text), remainder mainly 8<sup>th<\/sup>,\n research history on the topic from 1863 (B.F.
